Linh An Tu Pagoda is located on Ba Dinh Street, Nam Ban Town, Lam Ha District, Lam Dong Province. This spiritual tourist destination in Da Lat is about 27km from the city, following the route to Cam Ly Waterfall – Ta Nung Pass – Nam Ban town.

History of Linh An Pagoda Da Lat

The pagoda was built around 1993 by Venerable Thich Tam Vi. Initially, it was just a small Buddhist Prayer Hall with an area of about 4 hectares, a place that attracted many local Buddhists to worship.

By 1999, the number of local Buddhists coming to worship increased, so the pagoda underwent renovation and new construction. Upon completion, the pagoda was named Linh An Tu, which it remains to this day.

Visit the magnificent Main Hall

The pagoda was constructed in 1999, covering an area of 1400 m2. The main hall of Linh An Pagoda Da Lat is entirely covered with red tiles, a unique feature in the pagoda's architecture.

Inside the main hall, there are five large Buddha statues: Shakyamuni Buddha, Amitabha Buddha, Medicine Buddha, in the center is the Cundi Bodhisattva statue, and on the left is the Thousand-Handed, Thousand-Eyed Avalokiteshvara statue. The statues are meticulously and delicately crafted, adding unique beauty to the overall pagoda.

The path leading to the main hall is a staircase flanked by a pair of majestic dragons, cast in cement and over 20m long.

Behind the Main Hall is a spacious courtyard covering 7000m2, planted with many agarwood, purple Lagerstroemia indica trees, and an orchard. To the left of the pagoda is a large area of land planted with coffee trees.

One of the most impressive sights for visitors to Linh An Pagoda in Da Lat is the statue of Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva. This statue has set a record as the tallest in Vietnam.

The statue was completed around June 2019, standing 71m tall, with 250 steps inside leading to the top. From up high, you can gaze out and admire the panoramic view of Da Lat city.

Behind the main hall of Linh An Tu Pagoda is the Lumbini Garden, featuring many specialty plants of Da Lat. Standing out in the garden is the pure white color of the Maitreya Buddha statue. The statue is 12.5 m high, 6.5 m wide, and 9m long horizontally. It is recognized as the tallest Maitreya Buddha statue in Lam Dong.
