Religious Missions of Minh Hoa Seminary

Minh Hoa Seminary Da Lat, with its mission of serving religion, is a place where "pastoral teachers" gather. It trains individuals in education, formation, and accompaniment to adapt to the Catholic way of life.

Education: helps people clearly see the truth of the one who follows the religion, eliminates inappropriate, unjust thoughts, feelings, and actions, and clearly sees the truth of God and holiness.

Like the story of Israel with 40 years of training in the desert, similar to the story of God calling to sell all possessions and give to the poor who are following Him.

Formation: These are people who live in the perfect, complete image of Jesus Christ. Education is killing the old self, while formation is raising and training a new person, worthy of being a fellow image of Christ the Good Shepherd.

Accompaniment: Imbued with a passage: "in the formation of priests and religious, the number one role is the Holy Spirit, the number two role is the candidate, the number three role is the companion.

If the above order is reversed, meaning disregarding the first and second roles, the trainee will "hold their breath" and be extremely unhappy.

In addition, Minh Hoa Seminary Da Lat also carries out the most practical charity work by raising funds for “Caritas Da Lat” such as

Micro-credit program: Because most are ethnic minorities and live in rural areas, their access to capital and farming experience is low, so opportunities have been created to help them escape poverty.

Scholarship fund: advocating for "literacy eradication to contribute to raising people's intellectual standards and reducing poverty" so that children can have the opportunity to go to school early.

House repair for the poor: Because they want "a stable life and livelihood," a place to shield them from sun and rain, assistance has been provided to help people repair their homes. This helps stabilize people's lives and increases their trust in religion.

Medicine cabinet for the poor: building "Family Medicine Cabinets" in many provinces and cities. With all kinds of medicines: fever, aches, sores, worms, coughs, malaria, diarrhea, tonics, etc.

Meal for lonely elderly: This program will make every elderly person feel warmer and more comforted. Each elderly person over 60 years old will receive 10kg of rice/month.

Minh Hoa Seminary offers many new and beneficial perspectives for life. It provides a friendly, open, and understanding atmosphere for people.

Minh Hoa Seminary

Minh Hoa Seminary Da Lat as a Religious Tourism Destination

Let's explore this special architectural marvel with HDV Local.

Architectural space of the sanctuary

Minh Hoa Seminary has gone through many generations, from the 1960s until now. After many renovations and upgrades, it has become a serene tourist spot and a peaceful beauty in Da Lat.

Nestled under vast pine forests and ancient trees. The seminary emerges with characteristic church architecture and a strong Vietnamese identity. Combined with contemporary architectural materials and simple interior design, with many wooden furnishings. It has created a minimalist space familiar to Vietnamese people.

The most unique architecture of Minh Hoa Major Seminary is probably its resemblance to the Rong house of the Central Highlands people. The A-frame house style with curved tile roofs and pointed tops makes it easily adaptable to rainy and stormy weather.

The warm, earthy tones of the sanctuary make this place more cozy than ever. It is designed in an East Asian style, exuding solemnity and sacredness. The glass window system allows natural light to enter, diffusing into the space and making it more mysterious.

Passing through the glass door, one immediately encounters majestic wooden columns and soaring arched ceilings. It feels as if one has stepped into a space of the past, a nostalgic and memorable experience.

Outdoor space

The exterior space is completely different from the interior. It opens up to a peaceful and relaxed atmosphere, filled with the colors of flowers, grass, and trees.

And you can enjoy the cool chill of Da Lat's weather. Especially on early mornings, fog "gathers" and covers the area, blanketing it in mist. It settles on the yellow flower beds and lush green meadows.

Minh Hoa Seminary

Minh Hoa Seminary is a quiet, solemn place, a sanctuary. You can learn about it and attend festivals, enjoy entertainment, visit Da Lat, and more.
