For those who are interested in spirituality and wish to heal inner wounds and injuries, Linh Quang Pagoda Da Lat is a place you should not miss if you have the chance to visit Da Lat.
3.1 The first pagoda in Lam Dong province: To Dinh Sac Tu Linh Quang
Previously, Linh Quang Pagoda Da Lat was a small pagoda in Da Lat city, built with a wooden house hidden behind a hill. Around 1933, the pagoda received many donations from devout Buddhists: Do Sinh, Tran Van Tai, Truong Van Nhan, Nguyen Van Nhan, Le Van Cam, and the Venerable. Thanks to this, the place was built from a humble hermitage into a three-jeweled wooden-walled, tiled-roof temple.

A few years later, around 1938, King Bao Dai issued an edict to build the pagoda. It wasn't until 1941 that the pagoda began to be renovated and rebuilt into various areas, becoming much more spacious and tranquil for Buddhists to come and pray.
3.2 Unique architecture with distinct East Asian features
Linh Quang Pagoda boasts a unique architectural style blending Chinese and Vietnamese art. The pagoda features double curved roofs at its four corners, intricately carved with images of dragons,麒麟 (kylin), turtles, and phoenixes. The pathways are adorned with many colorful ceramic fragments.
This creates a very distinct characteristic for the place of worship. The front hall of the pagoda faces northeast. The main hall is designed in a "Đinh" (T-shaped) layout, 20m long and 15m wide, with three interconnected sections.

The main sanctuary of Linh Quang Pagoda Da Lat is a house with a three-compartment, two-wing architectural style, featuring a double roof. Two dragons are perched on the two roof ridges, in a posture of returning dragons and phoenixes bowing towards a tiger-faced mask. Directly above the roof eaves is the Dharma wheel. The roof eaves also feature pairs of dragons and phoenixes bowing.

At the two ends of the lower roof eaves are a pair of straight-stretching dragons. Between the two roofs, there are carved images of returning dragons. Symmetrical to the signboard is the Chinese character "Linh Quang Tu". The front hall of the pagoda also features four pillars sculpted with dragons, and next to the two outer pillars are two narrow wall sections with bas-reliefs depicting the scenery of Lumbini Garden.
3.3 The Main Hall of Linh Quang Pagoda Da Lat
In the main hall of Linh Quang Pagoda, there is a statue of the Đức Bổn Sư (Original Teacher) sitting on a large lotus throne, with Đức Hộ Pháp (Dharma Protector) and Tiêu Diện (Smiling Face) on either side. Behind the main hall is the Thượng Tổ (High Ancestor) altar, dedicated to Tổ Bồ Đề Đạt Ma (Bodhidharma), and various Venerable monks. On both sides are altars for deceased male and female ancestors and Hương Linh (spirits). Directly above the ancestral hall is where the monks' quarters and the library of scriptures (tàng kinh các) are located.

Within the grounds of Linh Quang Pagoda Da Lat, there are three stupas. There is also an open-air statue of Guanyin, appearing on a 100m long, 2m diameter dragon, in the Lumbini garden where the Buddha was born. All these structures at the Pagoda were completed in 2000.
Linh Quang Pagoda has been around for 91 years now and has gone through many generations of abbots and virtuous venerables.
