Legend of Pongour Waterfall, Duc Trong, Lam Dong
Pongour Waterfall used to be associated with the glorious history of the K'Ho people. The details of the story are as follows:
Once upon a time, this land was ruled by a very intelligent and beautiful female chieftain named Kanai.
The female chieftain of this land had the ability to control wild beasts. Four giant rhinoceroses were tamed by her and obeyed her commands. They helped her block water, move mountains, reclaim land, and fight against invaders of the village.

One day on the full moon of the first month, the female chieftain passed away. The four rhinoceroses stayed by her side day and night. They refused to eat until they died.
Some time later, everyone in the village was surprised when a magnificent waterfall suddenly appeared where she had died.
Today:
To commemorate Lady Kanai, every year on the full moon of the first lunar month, Pongour Waterfall hosts a festival, attracting thousands of tourists to Dalat from many places to visit.
