Legend of Lien Khuong Waterfall Da Lat

Lien Khuong Waterfall appears magnificent not only during the rainy season but also in dry months, when the water still flows strongly.

In the past, Lien Khuong Waterfall was known as Lieng Kang Waterfall. There is a legend that in ancient times, there was a large colony of golden ants here that occupied the area and took all the food and natural resources. The villagers and other creatures could do nothing, and life became more difficult as natural resources were plundered by the golden ants.

Even though the villagers prayed to the fire god, the more the fire burned, the more the golden ants proliferated. The fire god also could not do anything to help the villagers.

Afterward, the villagers sought help from Yang. Yang helped the people here by sending the gods of rain and thunder to create a great flood, causing the Da Nhim River to swell and sweep away the golden ants.

From then on, the lives of the people became peaceful, prosperous, and happy. Lien Khuong Waterfall today is considered the place where the thunder god descended, creating a waterfall that swept away the golden ants.
