There are two routes from the city center to Bidoup Nui Ba National Park.
To get from the city center to Bidoup Nui Ba National Park, you can follow these directions: From the city center, head towards Hung Vuong Street, continue along National Highway 20 to Trai Mat roundabout. Here, turn onto Huynh Tan Phat Street and continue straight to Thai Phien gas station. Continue straight on National Highway 27 to Da Nhim commune, then look to your left to find Bidoup Nui Ba National Park.

From the city center, you can choose the second route by taking Phan Chu Trinh Street to Ho Xuan Huong Street, then continuing via Ngo Gia Tu Street to Thai Phien intersection gas station. From here, continue along National Highway 27C to Da Nhim commune.

The word "Bidoup" in K'ho language means "lying person". According to legend, Bidoup and Nui Ba were two sisters. They lived close to each other, and the elder sister always cared for the younger. As she grew older, the younger sister became gigantic, taller than her elder sister. The elder sister told her to lie down because if she stood, she would touch the sky. Thus, she lay down and became Bidoup mountain as it is today.

Bidoup Nui Ba National Park is one of 28 special-use forests in Vietnam, known for its rich and diverse ecosystem of flora and fauna. Located within the boundaries of Lac Duong district and a part of Dam Rong district, this national park occupies almost the entire Lam Vien Plateau.

This location is rated by scientists as one of 221 endemic bird centers globally and one of four biodiversity centers in Vietnam.
91% of the 64,800 ha area of Bidoup – Nui Ba National Park is forest and forest land, primarily pristine forest with a rich diversity of various animal and plant species. Here, there are a total of 1933 plant species, including 62 rare species distributed among 29 different plant families, identified according to the rarity assessment level of the Vietnam Red Book 2000 such as Red Pine, Green Cypress, Pomu, Da Lat Five-leaved Pine, Two-leaved Flat Pine.

There are a total of 56 animal species listed in the category of rare animal species. In the Vietnam Red Book 2007, 47 species were recorded. The IUCN Red List 2010 only mentioned 30 species.
